Flat Foot

Flat Foot (Pes Planus) is a condition where the foot’s arch is reduced or absent, causing the sole to fully contact the ground.

Types:

  1. Flexible Flat Foot: Arch collapses under weight but is visible when not bearing weight.
  2. Rigid Flat Foot: No arch, even without weight-bearing, often painful or stiff.
  3. Adult-Acquired Flat Foot: Develops later in life due to tendon damage or injury.
  4. Congenital Flat Foot: Present from birth, often due to structural abnormalities like vertical talus.
