Toe Deformity

Toe Deformity refers to abnormal positioning or shape of the toes, often caused by muscle imbalance, injury, arthritis, or wearing ill-fitting shoes. It can lead to discomfort, pain, and difficulty walking.

Common Types of Toe Deformities:

  1. Hammer Toe: The toe bends downward at the middle joint, resembling a hammer shape.
  2. Claw Toe: The toe curls downward at both the middle and end joints, forming a claw-like appearance.
  3. Mallet Toe: The end joint of the toe bends downward.
  4. Bunion: A bony bump forms at the base of the big toe, causing it to tilt toward the other toes.
  5. Overlapping Toes: One toe overlaps another due to structural issues or tight footwear.
  6. Curly Toe: The toe curls under itself, often due to tight tendons.
